Bursaries

Generously supported by the Analytical Chemistry Trust Fund (ACTF) of the Analytical Division and the RSC Travel Grant Scheme, the forum is traditionally able to offer a number of discretionary bursaries to students.  

Am I eligible?

Conference bursary applicants should be students who are resident in the UK or Ireland. Applicants should also be either an RSC member or be presenting work at the meeting, either as an oral presentation or a poster.  

The bursary award in 2012 is £150 and is intended as a contribution towards the delegate's travel costs. This bursary is funded by the ACTF.

Recipients of funding from the ACTF (RSC/EPSRC Analytical Science Studentship scheme or the NERC/ACTF Analytical Science & Technology Studentship scheme), should not apply for a bursary as the full cost of the meeting will be covered for both the funded student and their supervisor for the project (when attending with their named student).

Bursary applicants should complete either the Conference Bursary Application Form or the RSC Travel Grants Bursary Application form on this page and return it to RSC Events. Applicants must also register for the conference itself by clicking on 'Registration' on the 'In this section' links when available.

The bursary application deadline is 4 May 2012.

Information for ACTF Funded Students

Recipients of funding from the ACTF (through either the RSC/EPSRC Analytical Science Studentship scheme or the NERC/ACTF Analytical Science & Technology Studentship scheme) should register for the conference using the PDF registration form available to download from the registration page. ACTF funded students should not use the bursary application forms on this page.
