2nd Dalton Transactions International Symposium

Introduction

The 2nd Dalton Transactions International Symposium will take place during the 11th Conference on Solid State Chemistry and Inorganic Synthesis, China (CSSCIS 2010) at the Shanghai Airlines Travel Hotel, Shanghai, in November this year. The purpose of RSC journal symposia is to bring together scientists in a stimulating and friendly environment that will foster collaborations between the researchers and the universities involved in the meetings.

The symposium will feature two one-day meetings. Each one day meeting will feature a selection of lectures covering solid state chemistry and inorganic synthesis given by some of the world's leading international scientists. The first one-day meeting, held at the Shanghai Airlines Travel Hotel, Shanghai, will be held jointly with the 11th Conference on Solid State Chemistry and Inorganic Synthesis (China) (CSSCIS-2010). The second one-day meeting will take place at the University of Hong Kong. The symposium is organised by Dalton Transactions, the Royal Society of Chemistry and the local host organisations.

The symposium will appeal to academic and industrial scientists with an interest in solid state chemistry and inorganic synthesis. Attendance at the symposium is free of charge and student participation is strongly encouraged. 

Venue and dates

The 2nd International Dalton Transactions symposia will take place as follows:

• Tuesday 16th November - Symposium at the Main Lecture Hall, Shanghai Airlines Travel Hotel, Shanghai, in collaboration with Professor Jiesheng Chen joint with the 11th Conference on Solid State Chemistry and Inorganic Synthesis (China) (CSSCIS-2010)

• Thursday 18th November - Symposium at the Wang Gangwu Lecture Hall, Graduate House, University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
