Registration for Faraday Discussion 157 is now open!

Please read the registration information on this page before registering.

You can register by clicking on the online registration link on this page.

Please note accommodation is not included in the registration fee, however this can be booked at the time of registering.

Registration Package

Registration includes: 

  • Attendance at the sessions 
  • Refreshments throughout the meeting
  • Attendance at the poster drinks reception on Monday 25 June
  • Lunch on Monday 25, Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 June
  • A copy of the discussion pre-prints
  • A copy of the final theme issue of Faraday Discussion Volume 157 containing papers presented at the Discussion (issued approximately 6 months after the meeting)**
  • For non-member registrants, membership of the RSC until the end of 2012

Student Delegates

In order to encourage undergraduate or postgraduate students to attend the Discussion, a reduced conference fee (to include a set of pre-prints but not the final Discussion Volume) is available. This fee applies to those undertaking a full time course for a recognised degree or a diploma at a university or equivalent institution.

A copy of the publication may be purchased at less than half price, only for orders placed at the meeting where an application form will be made available.

SCI Members

Members of Societą Chimica Italiana (SCI) are entitled to register for the conference at the reduced RSC Member rate because the SCI has co-sponsored this event. To do so, you will need to enter a promotional code when you register. The promotional code is available from the SCI.

Welcome Dinner & Conference Banquet

The welcome dinner & conference banquet on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 June are not included in the registration fee, delegates can book this as part of the accommodation and catering package by booking dinner, bed & breakfast when they register to attend the conference.

Accommodation

Please note that accommodation is not included in the registration fee.

Delegates should request their accommodation at the time of registering to attend the conference. Accommodation is available at La Cittadella Ospitalita, single, twin and triple rooms are available.

If you select a twin or triple room and want to share that room with a specific person(s), please detail their full name(s) in the 'Additional Information' section of the booking form. If you do not detail a person(s) you will be assigned another delegate to share the room with.

Please note that there are a limited number of single rooms available which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Please note that if you are in receipt of an RSC Bursary, you maybe asked to share accommodation

Bursaries

There are a number of RSC bursaries available to student and younger members of the RSC in the early stages of their career (typically within 5 years of completing a first or postgraduate degree) who do not have support available from their employer or a research grant. 

Applicants should be RSC members at the time of application and at the meeting for which the travel bursary is being given.

If you are not an RSC member, Student Membership of the RSC is only £17. To become a member, please follow the link on this page and complete the application form. Once you have sent in you RSC membership application form, please complete the bursary application form and write on the top that you have applied for membership of the RSC.

The bursary is £150 per applicant and funding is supplied by the RSC Travel Grant Scheme.

Deadline for applications: 27 April 2012.

Terms & Conditions

No reservations for accommodation, meals or social events will be made if payment is not received prior to the start of the conference. All registrations received by the closing date will be acknowledged. If an acknowledgement is not received within 14 days, please contact the RSC Events Office.

Cancellations received before 25 May 2012 will be subject to an administrative charge of 25%. It will not be possible to offer any refunds on cancellations (including those for meals or social events) received after 25 May 2012, although a change in attending delegate can be made at any time. Changes to bookings for meals or social events cannot be accepted after 25 May 2012.
