CSI Swansea

This is a ChemNet event for students aged 16-18. Become a criminal investigator for a day and face a fictitious crime scene involving the murder of a leading researcher. To solve the crime, you will receive an evidence pack containing samples of collected evidence and information on the possible suspects. Using advanced resources within SPECIFIC you will need to systematically deduce which suspect is most likely to have committed the murder. Techniques include FTIR, SEM/EDX, Chromatography and a range of fingerprinting techniques including state of the art Scanning Kelvin Probe methods pioneered in Swansea.
