TAC 2015 : 50th Anniversry Conference of the RSC Thermal Methods Group

Introduction
Plenary Lectures :

* Thermal Analysis and Cognate Techniques in the Development of Pharmaceutical Co-crystals - Prof Bill Jones, Professor of Materials Science at Cambridge University. Bill has special research interests in solid state chemistry and crystal engineering.

* Metastability & Reorganization Phenomena: Recognition, Measurement and Utilization -
Prof Vincent Mathot, SciTe. B.V. Geleen, the Netherlands. Guest Professor at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. Vincent received the NATAS Mettler Toledo Award for his work on polymers.

* Sample Controlled Thermal Analysis for Adsorbents : Why and How ? Prof Jean Rouquerol, MADIREL, UMR CNRS, Marseille. Emeritus Research Director, CNRS. Jean is a pioneer of sample controlled thermal analysis techniques and a Past-President and Honorary Lifetime Member of ICTAC.

This 3 day event in the historic University City of Cambridge offers a unique opportunity for delegates to hear about the past, present and future of thermal analysis and calorimetry. The Conference Dinner, which will be a celebration of 50 years of the TMG, will be held in the beautiful Dining Hall at Corpus Christi College on Tuesday 31st March.

Technical Programme & Exhibition

In addition to the Plenary Lectures there will be a full technical programme including a number of international speakers. A list of papers currently submitted is on our website.

If you are interested in presenting a paper or poster at the Conference please submit a preliminary abstract (up to 300 words) as soon as possible to ian.priestley@syngenta.com . There will be a comprehensive manufacturers’exhibition showing the latest advances in instrument technology.

Registration costs (including Conference Dinner):

TMG member £275 (before 31/1/15) then £300

TMG non-member £300 (before 31/1/15) then £325

Student £100 (before 31/1/15) then £115

There are a limited number of student bursaries available (details on the TMG website).

Accommodation is available in the modern facilities at Churchill College. Ensuite room rates per day including breakfast: Single £86.40; Double £106.00. All bookings must be made via the Thermal Methods Group.
