Innate Immunity: The first line of defence

15 November 2016 09:00 - 17 November 2016 17:00

Introduction
This event will discuss the increasingly appreciated role of the innate immune system in initiating and directing immune responses.

The importance of the innate immune system in pathogen recognition is well-established, and it is now becoming clear that early events directed by the innate immune system have substantial and long-lasting effects on the body’s ability to deal with infections successfully. In some cases, inappropriate innate responses can actually impede pathogen and tumour clearance or lead to autoimmune activation. This cross-disciplinary event will discuss recent findings related to the role of the innate immune system in pathogen recognition, effector function and activation of adaptive responses, as well as its importance in aberrant immune function, and will consider the potential of therapeutic targeting of the innate immune system to improve health outcomes.

This is an International Life Science Community Internet event and has CPD accreditation

Location: Online

The early registration discount ends September 20th 2016

Who Should Attend:

This event is aimed at those interested in the role of the innate immune system in health and disease, and in therapeutic strategies to modulate the innate immune response, including research scientists and academics, physicians and clinicians, and those who work within the industry.

The event will be recorded and available for all registered delegates up to a month after the event.  So if you can’t manage all the days, or the different time zones, you can still have access to the full event.
