15 July 2016 18:30-21:00, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
Explore the Burlington House Courtyard like never before, and discover the six learned societies that reside here, furthering the study of arts and sciences and sharing it with audiences around the world:

At the Royal Society of Chemistry, grab a drink and join award-winning poet and scientist Rachel McCarthy on a very human journey through the Periodic Table. This special edition of 'Alphabet of Our Universe' is a whistle-stop, multimedia tour through the sociological history of chemistry. Part-lecture, part-reading (from her poetry book 'Element') it questions how we as a society engage with one of the greatest developments of our age.

Talks will begin at 19.00,19.45 and 20.30. No booking required*.

*Some activities around the courtyard may require booking/or a participation fee; all activities at the Royal Society of Chemistry are free.
