Food Integrity – the Nuclear Option, (Jack Pearce Memorial Lecture).

Introduction
Dr Andrew Cannavan led the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Food Safety Assessment Team in Fukushima after the nuclear disaster and works closely with the QUB Institute for Global Food Security. Andrew will pay tribute to Jack’s work, and discuss his own experiences, and emergency preparedness and response to nuclear incidents. He will also describe IAEA’s work supporting and enhancing food safety, mainly in developing countries, focusing on the applications of stable isotope ratio analysis and complementary techniques for authenticity testing and to support food traceability.
