24th Lakeland Symposium (Grasmere) 2019

Introduction
This is the RSC Heterocyclic and Synthesis Group's flagship biennial Lakeland Symposium, which will as usual be held in the charming Lake District village of Grasmere (Cumbria, UK). Online registration including card payments is now available - click on the "Book Now" button at the top of this page (retired/unwaged delegates should use the discount code 19GRASRU when registering). We have an outstanding speaker line-up, with ten confirmed plenary lectures:

The meeting has a friendly, informal atmosphere, with scientific sessions being held in the Grasmere Village Hall in the mornings and evenings, with the poster session and evening social events taking place in the conference hotels. The afternoons are left free for exploring the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District, and an optional conference banquet will be held on Sunday night (additional charge). Accompanying persons are very welcome and there is an accompanying persons programme of social activities throughout the meeting.

Accommodation at one of the two conference hotels can also be reserved (full board packages) upon registration. Alternatively, a registration-only rate is also available for those wishing to make their own accommodation arrangements. Students who present a short talk or poster may also apply for the reduced cost bursary package, which includes registration, accommodation, all meals and the conference banquet.
