Making Chemistry fit for the future - Life Cycle Analysis, a tool on our journey to sustainability

20 May 2024 13:00-17:00, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
This Marketing Group event, at the Royal Society of Chemistry, Burlington House, London on the afternoon of 20 May, will set the scene for sustainable chemistry, circularity and waste recycling in the UK. Experts from the University of Warwick, MURA Technology, BASF and the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs/Department or Business and Trade will discuss the use of Life Cycle Analysis, LCA, applied to some of the most recent chemical innovations and commercial projects. A panel discussion and Q&A session will explore how a better understanding and more rigorous application of LCA is needed to ensure new chemicals and new chemistry are genuinely fit for the future.

The meeting will be useful to those who to understand LCA, to those developing new chemistries and to those non-experts who want to make their own assessments of whether the marketing claims are truly sustainable or just greenwashing.

There will be a small charge for this event to offset partially the cost of the meeting's refreshments.
