Introduction
? To discuss issues surrounding the availability of age-appropriate formulations for the benefit of young patients.
? To provide a forum for delegates to reflect on formulation issues surrounding the development of paediatric medicines, two years after the implementation of the EU regulation on medicinal products for paediatric use.
? To discuss the practical challenges involved in formulating medicines for children, particularly in relation to the acceptability of excipients, quality of extemporaneous preparations, the rationalisation of taste testing and improving taste masking and administration devices.
