Introduction
This seminar is supported by AstraZeneca

Delegates at this seminar will consider next steps for prevention and treatment of diabetes.

Planned sessions focus on progress made by NHS England, Clinical Commissioning Groups and local authorities in preventing diabetes, the future for paediatric care, and the potential impact of the NHS Innovation Challenge on enhancing the quality of life for people with diabetes.

Discussion will be informed by Public Health England's pledge in its five year strategy to develop a preventive programme for diabetes, and recent NICE guidance which recommends weight loss surgery for patients with recent-onset type 2 diabetes.
