Wolverhampton's Analytical Chemistry Competition

12 July 2017 09:00-15:30, Wolverhampton, United Kingdom

Introduction
Wolverhampton’s Analytical Chemistry competition is financially supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Midlands Local Section. The competition is aimed at schools and colleges, located in the West Midlands, which were unable to participate in this year’s national RSC Schools Analyst Competition.

This competition is an opportunity for students to use analytical equipment not always available in schools, gain additional practical experience and apply their knowledge of chemistry to solve problems. Instructions will be given and students will be supervised but help from staff will be limited to ensure a fair competition. The competition is open to those currently studying AS (year 12) chemistry or equivalent. Each team will consist of 3 students from the same school or college. A maximum of 3 teams are allowed from each school or college.

Prizes (in the form of gift vouchers) will be awarded to individual students whose teams are placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in this friendly competition. Details of prizes can be provided on request.
