POSTPONED - Dalton 2020

14 April 2020 13:30 - 16 April 2020 13:00, Coventry, United Kingdom

Dalton 2020 is postponed

I am sorry to have to announce that Dalton 2020 is postponed due to the ongoing and escalating situation concerning COVID-19. Many similar conferences and meetings in March and April have already been cancelled and the latest upgrade to pandemic status, coupled with increasing travel restrictions placed by governments, universities, and industries, means that it will be difficult to proceed at this time. We are currently exploring options for its rescheduling.

A conference which brings together researchers from the breadth of inorganic chemistry. The meeting is organised by the Dalton Division and associated Interest Groups:

Coordination and Organometallic Chemistry Discussion Group (CODG)
Inorganic Biochemistry Discussion Group (IBDG)
Inorganic Reaction Mechanisms Discussion Group (IRMDG)
Main Group Chemistry Group (MGDG)

Registration for this meeting (including accommodation and food) is £270 for RSC members, £300 for non-members and only £100 for PhD and Masters student members presenting their work. A day rate of £75 per day is available, along with conference dinner of £50 (included in full rates). Registration is open.

Plenary and RSC Award and Prize winners are listed below. Oral presentation slots of 20 min will be available and will be selected by the individual discussion groups based on the abstracts submitted.

Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson Dalton Poster Competition

The Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson Dalton Poster Competition will take place during the Dalton 2020. The competition aims to celebrate the breadth and strength of inorganic chemistry as demonstrated by researchers at the first steps of their careers, who do much of the work that leads to our strong international position in inorganic chemistry.

The poster competition is divided into two parts: one for postgraduates, and one for postdoctoral researchers. The winner of each section will receive a bursary to attend an international conference of your choice.
