RSC Analytical Biosciences Group 75th Anniversary Annual General Meeting

12 November 2020 14:00-16:00, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
In our 75th Anniversary year the Analytical Biosciences Group will be holding our online  AGM on the 12th November 2020. The meeting is open to all group members and external guests and aims to engage early career researchers in debate and discussions about all areas of analytical biosciences, and provide the opportunity to network with other researchers in the field.

In our group we aim to give our members a broad overview of the current state of the art for analytical techniques, with detailed examples of their applications in biosciences. As such, each contribution will aim to demonstrate the quality and value of each methodology.

As a part of our AGM, we will have two keynote speakers, one of them an early career researcher. This is the first year our AGM is an online event, so this might be the perfect opportunity to join and contribute to the discussion about our next 75 years.

Schedule for the event:

2.00pm - Welcome and introduction (John Hunt, ABG Chair)
2.10pm - Electrochemiluminescent Sensors as Screening Tools within Complex & Biological Matrices (Kelly Brown, University of Starthclyde, Winner of the Best Talk Prize, ECRM2020)
2.30pm - Genomic Tools for Studying Infectious Disease, AMR, and Host Response (Gary Schroth, Illumina Inc.)
3.10pm - Analytical Biosciences Group Annual General Meeting and Discussion with Group Members
4.00 pm - Close
