Applied FTIR - Virtual Classroom Training

12 April 2021 09:30 - 13 April 2021 13:00, United Kingdom

Introduction
This live instructor-led training course covers all the practical theory about Fourier Transform InfraRed spectroscopy. It will review the EM spectrum focussing on the IR region.

This interactive course will detail the characteristic absorption spectra of various compounds such as alkanes, alkynes, alcohols, esters, ethers, and will provide examples in the form of exercises for IR interpretation.

The course will review the different components of FTIR such as IR sources, detectors, beam splitter and Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR). It will guide the delegate with sample-specific factors affecting spectral quality and mixtures.

There will be worked-through examples which will include the analysis of pharmaceutical and food samples by FTIR and then the analysis of the data.

This course is taught live in a virtual classroom and offers a fully interactive experience, with practical exercises to reinforce the knowledge and apply the topics learned. Participants can ask live questions; either by using their microphone or by typing into the Q&A or chat boxes.

Duration: 6.5 hours over 2 days
Scheduled course price: £405 + VAT per delegate
