Introduction

Technology is forging ahead and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) interfaced with Tablet computers promote paperless operations in the Wi-Fi enabled laboratory. In this seminar we will look at the challenges associated with the implementation of a Wi-Fi enabled system in a GMP CMC laboratory environment with LIMS and Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN). The associated costs and savings from implementing this type of technology will be discussed as will the changes to the GMP regulations. While this seminar is focussed at managers and scientists in the pharmaceutical industry it will be of interest to scientists working in a regulated analytical laboratory environment who are looking at / proposing to move to a paperless environment.
