Introduction
Join us for the 2nd annual Scottish ITE Professional learning conference, developed in collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Institute of Physics, the Royal Society of Biology.

Attendance
The Royal Society of Chemistry is keen to encourage and enable as many people as possible to attend our virtual events, to benefit from the networking opportunities and the chance to hear talks from leaders in the field. If you would like to discuss accessibility, please contact us to discuss your requirements so that we can enable your attendance.

Themes
The aim of this meeting is to bring together all secondary science student teachers to provide a forum to discuss the current challenges in your student year and support you as you move into your third placement and probationary year.

The format is ideally suited as it focuses on discussion rather than traditional dissemination and, by bringing together current & probationary science teachers in Scotland, aims to stimulate and define your own teaching practice.

The sessions are intended to encourage reflective discussion and will employ a range of delivery styles. The sessions are informed by education research and evidence based teaching.

By the end of the day you will:
  • Hear from two keynote speakers on the subjects of 'the truth about Scottish schools' and supporting wellbeing and maintining good mental health
  • Meet experienced & probationery teachers of science, with the opportunity to ask them questions
  • Have the opportunity to network with your fellow secondary science student teachers from across Scotland
