Toothpaste Tubes - the role of chemistry in making and marketing sustainable consumer health care products.

25 January 2023 18:30-20:00, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
Dr Joe Muscat FRSC Environmental Stewardship and Innovation Senior Director at Haleon.

This talk is a hybrid event. It will be given live at Burlington House, the RSC’s London Headquarters, and streamed online via Zoom.

Haleon is the recent spin out of GSK’s consumer health care products which includes well-known brands such as Sensodyne toothpaste. In this talk Joe will explore the role of science, and in particular chemistry, in inventing, developing and marketing sustainable products, including the packaging, in the consumer health care sector. The challenge of delivering sustainable products will be discussed in the context of the planet, governments and regulators, markets and end consumers.

Wednesday 25th January 2023, start at 6.30pm.  Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served ... but only at Burlington House.

The "BOOK NOW' link gives you the option to register for attendance at either at Burlington House or watching online. Questions will be taken from online attendees via the Zoom chat function. There is a small subscription, with a reduced rate for RSC members, to offset some of the extra costs of a hybrid meeting and the refreshments.

This is the first in person Marketing Group meeting since before the Pandemic and will be a great chance to catch-up with old and new colleagues and contacts.
