Top of the Bench is a national competition for KS3 and KS4 students designed to encourage and reward high achievement in school chemistry students. Winning teams from regional heats progress to the National finals held in March
To select the team that will represent the East Midlands in the National finals we will be running two rounds;
Round one - This will take the form of an online 30 min quiz. Students are to complete this in school at any point between Mon 30th October and Friday 10th November.
Round two - The top three schools (based on quiz scores) from each of the six counties in our region (Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland) will be invited to attend the regional finals which will be held at the University of Derby in early January.
To register an interest in your school participating in the competition please complete the short registration form. An email will be sent out to the registered teacher with a link to the Round one quizzes in mid October.
NOTE Registration is for teachers only. If you are a student keen to enter the competition please speak to your teacher.
