‘A Walk in the Bluebell Woods’

27 April 2024 10:30-14:30, Hythe, United Kingdom

Our traditional Bluebell walk is taking place in the woods around the picturesque Cinque Port town of Hythe, where friends can catch up with their colleagues from the Kent Local Section of the Royal Society of Chemistry. The walk will start at Sandling station and will cover a distance of 9-12 km at a leisurely pace, leaving from Sandling station, so everyone can easily get there. Full details of the walk will be available later in April, but it is expected to take 3-4 hours, finishing back at Brockhill Country Park, 15 minutes from Sandling Station where members can find opportunities for lunch or can walk on to visit Hythe. We are planning to have a little break at a nearby pub on the way.

No special equipment is needed but the terrain can be soggy and there is always a slight chance of rain, so waterproof walking boots/wellies and a raincoat may come in handy.

There are 25 places available on a first come first serve basis. There is no charge for this event but please contact Robert Goldmann via email or send this form to him to Earlscliffe, 29 Shorncliffe Road, Folkestone, CT20 2NB.
