Introduction

The goal of the event is to:

• enable recently appointed academics to meet recent appointees from other institutions;  
• provide a forum for the RSC to address recently appointed physical chemists; 
• provide an opportunity for funders and recently appointed physical chemists to meet and exchange information;
• allow for manufacturers and other companies to meet and interact with recently appointed chemists to help with equipment needs;
• for recently appointed chemists to get some help on their way to a successful academic career

The event will consist of a mixture of talks, workshops, and informal networking opportunities.
