IP for Innovators (including talks and workshops)

16 July 2025 12:30-19:30, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
The RSC Law Group will be holding its biennial and highly popular “IP for Innovators” event on Wednesday, 16 July 2025 from 12:30pm at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BA.

This event will provide the audience with an overview of intellectual property (IP), and the relevance of IP to business, through a mixture of talks and interactive workshops. Topics that will be covered include an introduction to patents and other IP rights, how to identify inventions, and how to carry out a Freedom To Operate (FTO) analysis.

The event will be delivered by a number of experts from the IP profession, including practitioners from leading law firms as well as practitioners based in-house with multinational corporate  innovators.

This event is suitable for entrepreneurs, researchers in industry and academia, undergraduate and PhD students, and anyone wishing to understand how to protect their IP. This event is open to RSC members as well as non-members.

The event will be followed by a canapé and drinks reception, giving attendees the chance to network in the great surroundings of Burlington House.

Accessibility: The event is located in the RSC building at the historic Burlington House. The RSC can provide a mobile ramp to access the building. Toilet facilities including an accessible toilet are on ground level and a lift provides access to the first floor where the Council Room is located. The registration page has a section to indicate accessibility requirements, but please feel free to contact us separately to indicate these. Should you have any other accessibility requirements then please contact us and we will work with the RSC to determine how we can help.
