Introduction

Britvic is a well known manufacturer of soft drinks. This interesting visit will involve a tour of their facility at Widford, Chelmsford. There will be the opportunity to look at the investigation of consumer samples and the application of FTIR spectroscopy, how colour of soft drinks is measured, the HPLC of soft drinks and an activity linked to the flavouring and aroma of drinks. Lunch will also be included. Please note all students will be expected to wear protective clothing in the labs.
