Instructions for Using RightsLink

If you wish to reproduce material from an RSC journal  in a non-RSC publication, and you are not an author of the RSC journal article and the material you wish to reproduce is not credited to a source other than the RSC, the following steps should be taken to obtain permission to reproduce the material:

• On the RSC Publishing website,  find the journal article from which you want to reproduce material by finding the relevant issue of the journal or using the search facilities availble.
• Go to the "article landing" page of the article by clicking on the article's title.
• Click on Request Permissions which will open up a new window in RightsLink.  
• Use the drop down menus available to select the reproduction options you require and provide any additional details needed.
• Accept the terms and conditions given.  If you have not used RightsLink before you will be required to open an account.  If any fee is payable, this can be done by using a credit card or being sent an invoice. 

When your order has been accepted you will be sent and email providing the order confirmation and any licence details.
