Employer Engagement

As part of the HE STEM Programme, the RSC are developing projects to increase and enhance engagement opportunities between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and employers. 

Employer engagement at all levels is beneficial:

• students develop an understanding of employment and gain valuable insight into the employment opportunities available within the chemical sciences
• HEIs can develop curricula and skills training relevant to the needs of industry and build on relationships with employers for knowledge transfer and potential collaboration to advance research
• employers acquire an understanding of graduate skills to aid the recruitment process, increase awareness of their sector and can gain access to specialist services within HEIs
