Awards


IBDG Young Investigators Award


This is a Bi-Annual award, given for outstanding contributions to any area of biological inorganic chemistry or inorganic biochemistry.

The recipient receives £250 and presents a lecture at an IBDG sponsored meeting the following year.

The next award will take place in 2014 and nominations should be forwarded to the IBDG Secretary.

The winner of the 2012 award was Dr Ross Anderson (University of Bristol).


IBDG Short Talk Prize


The award is presented annually for the best graduate student talk at the end of the Annual IBDG meeting.

IBDG Poster Prize


The award is presented annually for the best poster at the end of the Annual IBDG meeting.

Two poster prizes were awarded at the IBDG Metal Homeostasis Meeting in Newcastle 2010. These were jointly sponsored by the RSC IBDG and RSC Publishing.

The IBDG Dalton Award was to Stephen Allen (University of Newcastle) and the IBDG - Metallomics Award to Fazia Duad (The University of Edinburgh).
