Dr Gareth Jenkins' interests and experience in Speciality Chemicals is focused on pharmaceutical applications of novel building blocks including the use of enzymes to create new intermediates, high throughput technologies and the challenges of scale up of novel processes for commercial exploitation.

Christopher Drew currently runs SORIS.  He read Natural Sciences at King's College, Cambridge, researched in ceramics for GEC Hirst Research Centre and took a Master's degree in Solid State Physics from London University.  He was on the staff of Manchester Business School before joining Glaxo Laboratories Ltd at Greenford.  After production management experience at Barnard Castle, Mr Drew moved to the  National Economic Development Office, working in pharmaceuticals, chemicals and biotechnology.

Bruce Lane read Natural Sciences at Oxford, and completed his D. Phil. In the USA before joining ICI after a post doc at Northwestern, Evanston Ill. An industrial career with ICI led to a position, held for many years, as Technical Director of ICI Resins, later named Zeneca Resins then NeoResins, now part of DSM. Bruce retired from industry in 2000, setting up hid own consultancy company from 2000 until 2006. Bruce’s particular interests lie with all aspects of Inorganic Chemistry and Polymer chemistry.
