About the Winner


Euan Brechin completed his BSc (1994) and PhD (1997) at The University of Edinburgh, the latter under the supervision of Richard Winpenny. He then undertook postdoctoral work with George Christou at Indiana University in the USA (1997-1999), before being awarded a Lloyd's of London Tercentenary Fellowship and an EPSRC Advanced Fellowship to work at The University of Manchester. He moved to The University of Edinburgh in 2003, where he is now Professor of Coordination Chemistry.
