Criteria for applications

Please ensure you meet the following criteria before applying for one of the Travel Grants:

1. Applications must meet the requirements of one of the individual schemes as listed under "In this section".

2. Except for Journals Grants for International Authors and Stop-Overs in Commonwealth Countries, applicants should be RSC members at the time of the meeting they will be attending and for which the travel bursary is being given.

3. Completed application forms should be returned as described in the detail for the individual scheme. 

4. Application forms must be received by 1 January, 1 April, 1 July or 1 October.

5. The travel bursary will normally be paid within four weeks of the date on which the award is made.

6. Recent application history will be taken into account. 

7. Applications for RSC Conference Bursaries will be administered through the individual RSC conference registration process. Conference Bursaries are available to RSC undergraduate and postgraduate student members only.

Funds are strictly limited and will not be given to applicants who do not meet the criteria.
