Travel Grants for PhD Students and Post-doctoral Researchers
RSC Divisions are keen to support participation by PhD students and post-doctoral researchers in scientific conferences and workshops.
Grants are available to cover domestic (up to £200), continental (up to £400) and intercontinental (up to £800) travel to meetings where applicants give oral or poster presentations. Please note that these grants are intended for travel only and applicants should not apply for subsistence or accommodation expenses.
Please note that we recommend you submit your application a minimum of three months before you need a decision.
During periods of high activity and competition, committees will give priority to applicants who are giving oral presentations over those presenting posters only.
Please note that Analytical, Dalton, Faraday, Materials Chemistry and Organic Divisions are no longer accepting applications for travel in 2016. Applications to these divisions for travel in 2017 will be accepted from 1 October 2016.
If you are participating in an RSC conference, please see the conference website for bursaries specifically for that conference. We recommend that you apply also for one of these bursaries.
