Code of Practise for Scientific Advisory Committees
10 December 2010
The Code of Practice was last revised in 2007. This updating - two years early by normal schedules - follows the publication of the Government's Principles on Scientific Advice to Government and allows for the Code to be revised reflecting these alongside developments on best practice for Scientific Advisory Committees.
The review of Public Bodies being conducted by Cabinet Office does not affect the practical application of the Code of Practice for Scientific Advisory Committees. All Scientific Advisory Committees however classified - whether for example, as a formal Non Departmental Public Body or not - are covered by this guidance.
