Guidelines on Scientific Analysis in Policy Making

As part of the government response to "Putting science and engineering at the heart of government policy" a set of guidelines were put together to provide a framework addressing the way in which government departments obtain and use science and engineering advice.
In November 2009, the Government Chief Scientific Adviser opened a review into these guidelines. The RSC welcomed this chance to input into the guidelines by submitting this response
