This conference will examine the potential effect on the pharmaceutical industry of negoitations currently under way at the World Health Organisation which could see a fundamental change to the global IP rules which currently underpin R&D. The conference will survey the political and economic context behind the WHO negotiations, and offer perspectives into the likely impact on innovation and health of the reforms under discussion.
