From Macro-Trend to Macromolecule

4 June 2015, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
A free to attend evening lecture.

Chemistry and economics are inextricably linked! Global economic macro-trends critically influence associated downstream industries, industries which at many levels depend on and utilise chemistry.

Dr Robert Watson from Nuplex Resins will look at some specific examples of these downstream industries and the role that chemistry plays, in particular polymer chemistry, from the perspective of coatings and ultimately show the relationship between macro-trend and macromolecule.

Originally a polymer physicist from UMIST (now the University of Manchester), Robert Watson has a background in both R&D and business processes acquired over 20 years in the coatings industry. He has been R&D Manager with Nuplex Resins for 11 years, overseeing the development of polymers for use in the powder coatings market covering applications from household goods to architectural coatings. Over recent years he has become more involved in business development and has responsibility for the Nuplex Powder Coating Resins business team in the EMEA region.

1800 for a 1830 start. Wine and networking at the end. Registration is a must!
