Introduction
THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED This year's Pan Africa Chemistry Network Annual Congress: Healthcare: from discovery to delivery will take place at the University of Nairobi in Kenya from 17 - 19 November. This will be the 9th International PACN Congress, and will include delegates from across Africa and the world. This conference will bring together over 200 participants from across Africa and the globe to discuss current research, new developments and crucial issues on the topic of Healthcare. The conference will be attended by leading international experts in healthcare in order to share expertise and best practice and discuss cutting edge research and applications. It will reflect the diversity of science and research that impacts our understanding of healthcare in Africa.
 
The conference is a three day event with international and African speakers from academia and industry. There will be four themes covered in sessions during the course of the three days with plenty of opportunities for discussion and interaction. The four themes are:
• Discovery (natural products, medicinal chemistry, drug design)
• Manufacturing (green chemistry, formulation, regulatory, sustainability)
• Healthcare innovations (diagnostics, devices, commercialisation)
• Infectious diseases
 
Please submit your abstracts for oral presentations and poster presentations using the more information button on this page. Funding will be provided only for those that are selected to speak. This format leads to opportunities to engage with other scientists, exchange ideas and has led to new collaborations and partnerships. Registration is free and this includes the welcome dinner, lunch on both days and the conference dinner. The conference will start with registration from 09:00 on 17 November 2015, and will conclude around 17:00 on 19 November.

Oral abstracts - Approximately 10 people will be selected to give oral presentations of 15 minutes each. Those wishing to present will need to select which session is best suited to their research area; discovery, manufacturing, healthcare innovations, and infectious diseases. Poster abstracts - we welcome poster submissions from all those who wish to contribute to discussions. In addition, approximately 10 poster presenters will be selected to give a 5 minute flash presentation to the conference audience. Those wishing to present will need to select which session is best suited to their research area; discovery, manufacturing, healthcare innovations, and infectious diseases. Bursaries will be available for African scientists, working in Africa, selected by the scientific committee to make oral presentations or flash presentations.
