Microbial protein targets: towards understanding and intervention

14 September 2016 14:00 - 16 September 2016 14:00, Durham, United Kingdom

Introduction
The symposium will bring together leading expertise in protein structure determination, biochemical characterisation and chemical biology to explore the most recent advances in the understanding
of protein function and inhibition of microbial pathogens including bacteria and parasites.

Themes
  • Microbial protein structure determination & analyses
  • Biochemical analyses of microbial protein functionality
  • Chemical tools for probing microbial protein function
  • Drug Discovery for new anti-microbial agents
This symposium is organised in collaboration with the British Society for Parasitology (BSP). You will need to register via the BSP Registration page, http://www.myeventflo.com/event_RegWiz.asp?evID=1905. Royal Society of Chemistry members are entitled to BSP membership rates.

Royal Society of Chemistry Travel Grants
The RSC’s Chemistry Biology Interface Division will support 10 travel grants for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers (maximum allocation per grant is £150) to participate in this symposium. Completed application forms should be returned to science@rsc.org by 30 July 2016. The travel grant application form is available to download in file uploads.
