New Horizons in Natural Products Chemistry 09

4 November 2009, Nottingham, United Kingdom

Introduction
Natural products are central to biology and medicine, serving as pharmaceutical leads, drugs, and powerful reagents for studying cell biology. New research areas centered around natural products chemistry continue to emerge, ranging from the development of new synthetic methodology, to systems chemistry and efforts made towards understanding and untangling the mysteries of life. Although research in such disciplines have evolved to address unique problems in their own right, they are all united by an underlying common theme and reliance upon a thorough understanding of the basic principles of organic chemistry.

New Horizons in Natural Product Chemistry will bring together world leaders in the new and developing fields of Natural Products chemistry, providing a stimulating and innovative forum for practitioners of natural product chemistry. The one-day symposium will commence at 10 am and there will be six keynote talks and a poster sessio
