Hands-on Complete HPLC & LC-MS Training Course

24 - 28 February 2020, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom

Introduction
Learn all the essential theory of liquid chromatography and LC-MS along with hands-on practicals in the laboratory.

The course covers solvents & buffers (the mobile phase), pumps, isocratic and gradient elution, sample introduction, analytical columns, HPLC detectors, mass spectrometry including tuning, ionisation, mass analysers, ion detector and data analysis. This knowledge will then be put into practice to create methods, perform injections and change parameters to see the effects.

The course discusses why maintenance is required and how to spot when maintenance is needed, along with practicals to carry out maintenance on both an HPLC and an LC-MS system.

The course teaches strategies for troubleshooting an HPLC or LC-MS instrument and learning what problems can occur, with real problem solving on the instruments and data analysis software.
