Mentoring training - via Zoom/remote

4 May 2020 12:30-14:30, n/a, United Kingdom

This event is for RSC Members only

This is a training session for members wanting to be a mentor as part of our award-winning scheme which now has +100 active mentoring relationships. This scheme is open to members of all backgrounds and experience including academics and industrialists.

Why be a mentor?
Mentoring is valuable to both mentees and mentors. Mentors find the experience of helping another member rewarding as they help them to grow and 'address their own challenges, considering their relationships at work and thinking of the future'.

The benefits of mentoring
Join our scheme to help other members and:
  • gain experience of supporting others in achieving their personal and career goals
  • pursue personal and professional development
  • learn how to use new management and mentoring tools
  • improve relationships with colleagues and performance in your current role
  • give back to the chemical community
“Mentoring is a great idea, and I have surprised myself about how challenging it can be and also rewarding when a suggestion I have made has had a positive impact.” – current mentor
