A paradigm shift from corporate social responsibility to corporate sustainability

22 April 2021 18:00-19:00, United Kingdom

Introduction
This talk will trace the evolution of corporate social responsibility (CSR) from its earliest origins to its implementation in modern companies.  Conceptual models for thinking about the topic will be shared and a few case studies presented.  The topic of sustainability, and in particular corporate sustainability, will be examined and the differences and similarities with CSR explored.

It is suggested that CSR, in its traditional sense, is now outdated and instead the focus should be on corporate sustainability.  A new business model for future corporate sustainability will be shared along with the key capabilities organisations will need to fulfil their strategic goals.
