Applying corrosion science in hostile environments

14 April 2021 18:30-20:30, United Kingdom

Introduction
The underlying chemical and material principles of corrosion science are well known.  The challenges arise when these have to be applied in the ‘real world’.  Particularly challenging are offshore, remote, deep sea oil and gas installations where maintenance and replacement are extremely difficult and hazardous.  A range of speakers will explain how corrosion science informs how materials are selected and inspected in order to perform safely over many years in these hostile environments.
