Undergraduate career support: job searching and selling your skills webinar

23 March 2022 12:30-13:30, United Kingdom

Introduction
Find out about job searching and selling your skills in CVs. This webinar will highlight particular chemistry recruitment sites and the top skills that chemistry employers look for.

This webinar is for students at accredited universities.

Speakers:

Paul Mears
Paul is a synthetic chemist turned recruiter having spent 10 years in the lab from BSc through to post-doctoral research associate, and now manages a team of specialist recruiters across the whole UK science sector. Having also completed a placement year in industry, and working as a recruitment consultant to firms from university spin-outs through to global multi-nationals, he is well-placed to advise on how UK scientists can best position themselves for roles in industry and academia, with candid commentary on the merits of careers in both.

Laura Woodward, BSc, Chartered MCIPD, Career and Professional Development Adviser, Royal Society of Chemistry
