A Sustainable Chemistry Workforce for a Sustainable Future

14 March 2022 09:00-12:00, United Kingdom

Introduction
How can early career chemists thrive in the chemical sciences?

Commonwealth Chemistry (CC) recently published ‘A Sustainable Chemistry Workforce for a Sustainable Future ’; a report presenting the findings of the first ever survey of early career chemists across the Commonwealth.

You are invited to join us at a special live event on Commonwealth Day, organised by CC to discuss the report and its findings.

The event will also feature a webinar on how to get scientific papers published.

Places are limited, so please register to ensure your place. This event open to anyone based in the Commonwealth and is free to attend.

What will be covered in this live event?

There will be a range of short presentations, starting with a summary of the report, followed by a panel discussion featuring early career chemists from across the Commonwealth and some of the Commonwealth Chemistry Executive Board members.

This will be followed by a webinar on how to get scientific papers published – which our survey highlighted as an area of interest for early career chemists – offering expert advice and suggestions.

Attendees will be among the first to hear about CC’s research into early career chemists across the Commonwealth and will get the chance to put questions to the expert panel and find out more about CC’s commitments and its recommendations to the Commonwealth, funders, universities and employers. There will also be the opportunity to network with other chemists from across the Commonwealth.

Commonwealth Chemistry looks forward to welcoming you to the live event in March. If you are unable to attend, a recording will be made available shortly afterwards.
