RSC – IISER Desktop Seminar with Dalton Transactions

11 May 2022 14:30 - 12 May 2022 18:30, India

Royal Society of Chemistry is organising a series of Desktop Seminars with Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs). Each seminar will feature a journal published by the RSC and discuss research targeted on subject areas related to it.

RSC - IISER Desktop Seminar with Dalton Transactions

The sixth event in the RSC-IISER Desktop Seminar Series is jointly organised by Dalton Transactions and IISER Thiruvananthapuram. The twenty-first century has witnessed a renaissance in the chemistry of s- and p-block elements. Significant advancement has taken place in isolating main group compounds in unusual oxidation states and low coordination numbers. The remarkable implications of this research have provided a new dimension to the area of homogeneous catalysis, traditionally dominated by d-metal compounds. While the UK has strong foundations in main group chemistry, India has emerged notably in the past decade with the genesis of new institutes. This symposium aims to bring together leading main group chemists from India and the UK to showcase their recent findings in main group chemistry and explore the possibility of scientific cooperation at various levels in times of limited travel. You will also have the opportunity to speak to the team behind the journal and learn more about the RSC products.

Twitter based Poster Competition:

Research Scholars working in the field of Main Group Chemistry will have an excellent opportunity to showcase their work through the Twitter based poster competition. You will have the chance to win Best Poster Prizes from Dalton Transactions.

If you are interested in participating in the Twitter-based poster competition, please submit your Poster Abstracts for initial evaluation via the Google Form in the link below. For further details of the poster competition and to submit your poster abstract (via the Google Form), please visit the Twitter Poster Guideline Document above.
