Know your germs!
In just a few decades “germs” have gone from being evil pathogens to almost-cuddly “probiotic" bacteria. This lecture will draw upon the 20th century studies of Professor Lynn Margulis to show how a dysfunctional microbiome gives rise to the characteristic diseases of modern life: allergies and autoimmunity; weight gain and diabetes; autism, anxiety, and anorexia - and what to do about it.
This lecture is hosted by the RSC Newcastle upon Tyne and North East Coast Local Section.
Attendance is free, but please register in advance to ensure we have enough biscuits!
