McBain Medal Symposium

10 January 2013, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
Nanomedicine, the medical application of nanotechnology, is a new, diverse and rapidly-growing field. The colloid, polymer and interface sciences have their part to play, in areas like drug, protein, gene and peptide targeting and delivery, nanoparticle targeting, and the control of bioadhesion for delivery at mucus membranes, especially. Many soft-matter scientists are now involved in developing new concepts and materials applicable to nanomedicine in one way or another and the one-day symposium will show-case some of the latest work.
