Introduction
This is a ChemNet event suitable for students aged 16-18
This visit will include a tour of the water treatment works at Affinity Water. There will be the opportunity to do some hands on practical and you will hear real-life stories about the day-to -day work at Affinity Water where chemistry has played a big role. There will be a workshop session where you will have the opportunity to tackle some case study problems and you will come up with a solution. There will also be a discussion about possible careers using Chemistry. An optional pond-dipping session will be offered at the end of the day and you will all be given a free water bottle to take away.
