Gradient-elution chromatography


Definition: A separation method where the components are distributed between two phases, one of which is stationary, while the other moves in a definite direction (the 'mobile' phase). In gradient-elution chromatography the elution solvent strength of the mobile phase is gradually increased during the separation.
