This is a fantastic graduate opportunity to join the team at the Royal Society of Chemistry and gain experience through a rotational programme in a number of different areas. You will get involved in high impact projects that will affect the Chemical Sciences community both here and internationally.
You will spend approximately (although expect to be flexible!) 4 months in three of the following teams:
- Science
- Education
- Industry
- Communications and External Relations
- International Development
- Membership Services
The role as Graduate Trainee will involve working on a wide variety of projects to promote the chemical sciences ranging from national events like Chemistry Week and the public lecture series at the Chemistry Centre, to organising seminars aimed at Government and key policy makers, running networking events for members, to outreach in schools .You will be supported through a development programme covering skills such as project management, writing for the web, managing meetings and networking skills. Essential skills and qualifications
- Good honours degree, masters or PhD in a chemical or related science.
- The ability to make thoughtful and rapid decisions.
- Proven organisational and time management skills demonstrating the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Impressive communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- Capable of dealing with high volume of work, whilst maintaining high standards
